AT THE BORGO

I Secoli

Simple Tuscan cuisine prepared to perfection is what will be found in the I Secoli restaurant of Borgo di Colleoli.

Built in the old vaulted cellars of the 15th century Palazzo, I Secoli offers a warm and hospitable welcome to all its guests. The cellars were once used to store wooden casks of olive oil both above and below ground.

COLLEOLI

I Tigli

Just outside the gates of the Borgo. Good for pizza and pasta. Inexpensive and fun.

Fattoria di Colleoli

Just down the lane that runs past the Borgo. It is known as the Plastic Cow because it has one in the drive. You can drop in for a coffee during the day to look at the evening or lunch menu. Mid priced with a good selection of very good food.

Hunting Lodge

At the end of the lane that runs past the Borgo – about a 10minutes walk. Traditional Tuscan food with a very reasonably priced fixed menu as well as al la carte. Gets packed on Fridays and Saturdays. Terrific atmosphere. Probably not a good choice for a romantic meal but great fun otherwise.

Excellent food and wine and a lovely terrace but expensive. We found the service a bit formal though which is definitely not the norm for eating out in Italy. Closed Monday lunchtime.
